'Continued Conversation' Starts Rolling Out For The Google Assistant

In a major boost to Google's connected attempts to make conversations with its Assistant more natural, the tech giant has started rolling out a feature chosen 'Continued Conversation', which was originally announced at the I/O developers conference in May this year, and enables follow-up questions and interactions without having to employ the 'OK Google' keyword every time.

Google says that the feature is now rolling out on Google Dwelling house, Google Habitation Mini and Google Home Max, and can be turned on in the Google Assistant app by going to Settings > Preferences > Continued Conversation and hitting the toggle. Information technology's a server-side update, so users won't have to update their apps to make use of the new feature.

Once enabled, the setting volition employ to all Google Home speakers tied to that particular Google account. The feature volition also stay active every bit long every bit Google Assistant believes that the conversation in in progress, but users volition be able to manually terminate the chat by saying 'Thank You' or Stop'.
